Caitlyn Jenner is ‘Finally Free’ in New Collab with MAC Cosmetics
Caitlyn Jenner is finally making some headlines worth discussing! The high-profile transgender advocate (and veteran reality star), recently announced her collaboration with MAC cosmetics to help raise funds and awareness for the transgender community.
The new lipstick, called ‘Finally Free,’ is a rosy nude shade which Jenner chose specifically to be “universal, suited to more people, and [is] an everyday lipstick, not just a high-glam, once-in-a-while kind of lipstick.” She goes on to say she wants it to be used every day so people have to buy more to raise more money for her cause. Since 100% of the proceeds are going to the M•A•C AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative, Jenner wants the shade on as many people as possible!
In the 9 months since her very public and highly scrutinized transition, Ms. Jenner has has become a beacon to so many people inside and outside of the trans community. She is a far reaching example of how important it is to be able to be yourself inside and out. MAC chose Jenner because, “she has come to represent courage, fearlessness, honesty and compassion” which are traits long heralded by the international beauty brand.

This isn’t out of the norm for the luxury make-up brand, MAC is known for their superstar collaborations – usually for their VIVA GLAM campaigns – which focus on bringing money and awareness to HIV and AIDS. MAC’s current VIVA GLAM girl is Ariana Grande, but they have previously partnered with RuPaul, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Lady GaGa, and many, many more.
